365 days later

One your later, 365 days ago is when my year in America was over and I arrived in the Netherlands again.

All I have is memories, a lot of amazing memories. There were times where it was tough but I want to thank everyone I met who opened up to me since it has shaped me a little bit in who I am today. Thinking of being back there, back in Georgia is something I'm barely able to do due to the differences but it was amazing, it almost feels like a dream. I am so grateful for all the love, friendships and the adventures I got to have. I got to meet amazing people not just at school but also at AFS, outside of school and just by coincidence and I am so grateful for that. I got to meet Johannes, Julia, Audrey and this weekend Marissa again in Amsterdam and Erica in Rome a couple of months ago which are little things that make so happy. People you met in a different country, who speak a different language, all pure coincidence or faith and being able to see them maybe once or more times after is something very special to me. A dream of mine is to see all of them back one day in as many different countries as possible.

I could name so many things that I miss and so many memories I have, memories that are clear and always on my mind and ones that come up when I see pictures that I forgot about before. 

We are 365 days later, my journey last year lasted 11 months but will be on my mind for a lifetime.
